DELTAWIND

Deltawind Cooperative was founded in 1989 on the initiative of islanders from Goeree Overflakkee in the south of South Holland who wanted to secure their own energy. They started with a few small wind turbines for a shared power supply. Today it is an energy cooperative with 2,500 members and a number of wind farms on and off the island. 

Over the years, Deltawind has developed more and more as a social organization where energy, sustainability and the well-being of the people of Goeree play an important role.

This social role also required not only an office, but a real 'clubhouse', where in addition to the permanent employees, also members of Deltawind, and possibly also other organizations can work and meet.
